If your iContact Camera isn't appearing as an option in your video call app, try these steps:
Mac:
- Click the Apple icon → About This Mac → System Report → Camera.
- If your iContact Camera isn’t listed, try an SMC reset.
PC (Windows):
- Open Device Manager → Look under Cameras, Imaging Devices, or Sound, Video, and Game Controllers.
- If not listed, go to Action → Scan for Hardware Changes.
- Restart and test using the Camera app.
- Make sure Windows is updated. Microsoft offers camera troubleshooting guides.
- Disable USB power-saving settings that may disable your camera.
USB connection tips:
- Ensure the camera is firmly connected to your computer’s USB port.
- Avoid USB hubs or extensions; try plugging directly into your computer.
- Remove other devices from hubs if necessary. Some hubs can overload or fail.
