Troubleshooting flickering with the iContact Camera
Flickering is usually caused by low voltage from using a USB hub or dock.
Basic Fixes:
- Plug the camera directly into your computer's USB port (not a hub or dock).
- Try a different USB port if needed.
If the issue continues on a laptop, adjust your power settings:
BIOS Settings
- Restart your computer and press ESC to enter BIOS.
- Navigate to Advanced > Power Management Options.
- Uncheck Runtime Power Management.
- Save and exit.
- For detailed Bios steps, click here
Nvidia Control Panel
- Right-click your desktop and open Nvidia Control Panel.
- Go to Manage 3D settings > Global Settings.
- Set Power management mode to Prefer maximum performance.
Windows Power Settings
- Click Start, search for Power & Sleep Settings.
- Click Additional Power Settings on the right.
- Select High performance > click Change plan settings.
- Go to USB settings > USB selective suspend setting, and set it to Disabled.
- Save changes.
