My camera is flickering or glitchingUpdated 21 hours ago

Troubleshooting flickering with the iContact Camera

Flickering is usually caused by low voltage from using a USB hub or dock.

Basic Fixes:

  • Plug the camera directly into your computer's USB port (not a hub or dock).
  • Try a different USB port if needed.

If the issue continues on a laptop, adjust your power settings:

BIOS Settings

  1. Restart your computer and press ESC to enter BIOS.
  2. Navigate to Advanced > Power Management Options.
  3. Uncheck Runtime Power Management.
  4. Save and exit.
  5. For detailed Bios steps, click here

Nvidia Control Panel

  1. Right-click your desktop and open Nvidia Control Panel.
  2. Go to Manage 3D settings > Global Settings.
  3. Set Power management mode to Prefer maximum performance.

Windows Power Settings

  1. Click Start, search for Power & Sleep Settings.
  2. Click Additional Power Settings on the right.
  3. Select High performance > click Change plan settings.
  4. Go to USB settings > USB selective suspend setting, and set it to Disabled.
  5. Save changes.
  6. For a detailed video of Nvidia and Power settings, click here.

Final Step:

  • Reboot your computer to apply all changes.
